Kate is running her popular afternoon and evening classes again in 2008.

2008 Summer term afternoon and evening classes

Wednesday afternoons 2pm to 4pm commencing 9th April – 10 sessions

Wednesday evenings 7pm – 9pm commencing 9th April – 10 sessions

Thursday evenings 7pm – 9pm commencing 9th April – 10 sessions

Each of the classes lasts 10 weeks and is conducted in the studio.  I take only 6 students per afternoon or evening course so get those applications in quickly!  The classes are structured for beginners and improvers and are run informally with one-to-one tuition whenever needed.  I cover the basics of clay handling, hand-building and wheel-throwing.  As the course progresses students are encouraged to start developing their own style.  For more experienced students I am on hand to offer help, advice, and tuition for each learner to achieve their own goals.

The fees for each of the above 10 week courses is £65

To cover the costs of materials, glazing, and firing there is a charge of £2.50 per pot taken home at the end of the course (£5 for larger pots)

Raku days in 07 a big success – watch this page for 2008 dates

Great fun was had by all at last year’s raku days and some attractive and exciting pieces produced.  Keep an eye on this page for 2008 dates.  The first will be late March or April time to take advantage (we hope) of better weather although the last one of 2007 in mid-November was no less successful in spite of the cold and gusty wind.  Potter David Moore’s superb home-made soup coupled with freshly baked bread came to the rescue!

Call Kate or Howard on  01945 430880 or email info@bodgersfarmpottery.co.uk

to register for information as soon as dates are announced

Raku days cost £38 inclusive of tuition and assistance from experienced potters, and glazes used.  Bring your own bisqued pots or use some of the selection of ready to glaze pots available at £2.50 each (£5 for larger). Times depend on time of year and available daylight.  Each session is 3 hours (although everybody gets so engrossed they usually run to 4!).
